Google will be shutting down websites made using Google Business Profiles (GBPs), and this blog will keep you informed.

Businesses wanting to maintain their online presence will need to rebuild their sites using an alternative platform. Websites built using GBPs will be turned off in March. When customers attempt to land on your website, they will be redirected to your GBP until June 10. After that they will be met with a “page not found” error notice.

We want you to be informed because this will affect your rapport with potential customers. You don’t want to be overlooked due to technical issues. You want to supply quick and relevant information straight away, engaging potential customers, and attracting new leads.

One consideration, outside of the website itself, is your Google Ads Campaign. If your Google Ads are linked to the Google Business Profile website, you should change your links to your new site before March 1^st, or you can choose to pause your campaign(s) in the meantime.
